Books by Bonnie Brooks Dudley

I wrote Working It Out: Mastering Business and Caregiving because I’ve lived the balancing act it describes. It offers 125 practical, easy-to-reference tips for small business professionals and family caregivers who want to stay grounded, communicate clearly, and move forward with confidence, even when life feels overwhelming.

I wrote When Shortcuts Become Roadblocks: Questioning Assumptions That Mess With Your Mind because I’ve seen how quickly assumptions can shape our reactions, relationships, and decisions. It offers practical, easy-to-reference insights for people who want to challenge unhelpful thinking, consider other perspectives, and respond with greater clarity and intention.

Communication Coach

I'm a communication coach, author, speaker, and seasoned small business professional with a heart for helping people navigate life’s toughest conversations with confidence. My background includes ten years as the owner of a home care agency and six years as a case manager for older adults with complex health needs. I’ve also spent more than 20 years as an entrepreneur.

I'm a 22-year U.S. Navy veteran and former police officer, roles that shaped my direct yet compassionate communication style and deepened my belief that clear communication can change lives.

I live in Derry, NH, with my husband, Kevin. We enjoy combining our love of travel and live music with my passion for running half marathons and Kevin’s for hiking anything with a slope.

Speaking and Events

Whether it's a keynote, workshop, podcast, panel discussion, or webinar, I enjoy helping audiences communicate with greater confidence during life's most challenging conversations and decisions.

I speak on practical topics that support working family caregivers, caregiver-friendly workplaces, and care-centered organizations. Drawing on my experience in the Navy, law enforcement, senior care, and coaching, I help audiences navigate difficult conversations, manage competing responsibilities, and make thoughtful decisions with confidence and integrity.

My presentations are engaging, practical, and filled with real-world examples that participants can immediately apply at work, at home, and in caregiving. Whether I'm speaking to business leaders, healthcare professionals, community organizations, or professional associations, my goal is always the same: to help people think more clearly, communicate more effectively, and create positive outcomes.

If your audience is looking for practical strategies, meaningful conversations, and actionable takeaways, I would love to collaborate.
